About the Doctors
Cameron Mashouf, D.D.S.
Dr. Cameron Mashouf is a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry and University of Illinois in Chicago. He has been in the private practice of orthodontics since 1974. He has taught at the University of Chicago, National University of Iran, Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco, and National University of Mexico. Dr. Mashouf currently teaches clinical orthodontics at the University of the Pacific.
He is married and has three children. Away from the office, Dr. Mashouf enjoys traveling, skiing, playing racquetball, reading and writing poetry and fun parties.
His real passion is learning and applying new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic patients in San Jose, CA and surrounding counties. Dr. Mashouf is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
He summarizes his learning experience in the following statement: “Moving from Tehran to Berkeley in the summer of 1969 was like landing in heaven. I started soaking up the information like a sponge and there was so much to learn. Now I realize how lucky I was to have had the company of some of the world’s greatest in dentistry and in orthodontics. Harry Sicher, Milton Engel, Joseph Jaraback, Tom Graber, and Eugene Roberts, to name just a few. They taught me more than their knowledge, they showed me the path.”
Andrew Kouvaris, D.D.S.
Dr. Andrew Kouvaris is a native of San Jose where he attended Lynbrook High School before graduating from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in combined sciences. He immediately entered the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he earned his doctorate. He graduated with high honors and was named class Valedictorian.
Dr. Kouvaris then entered a graduate program to study orthodontics at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and received a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree and a certificate of specialization in orthodontics. While attending the university, he received numerous awards and honors, and was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and Tau Kappa Omega honor societies.
Dr. Kouvaris is committed to the most advanced treatment techniques and concepts. He attends continuing education courses to offer the best orthodontic treatment possible to his patients. He offers state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment, using today's greatest technologies to provide only high quality care to his patients. He offers esthetic clear braces and the latest treatment modality, Invisalign, for the treatment of children and adults.
Dr. Kouvaris enjoys all sports and especially has a passion for baseball. In his free time, he likes traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
