He summarizes his learning experience in the following statement: “Moving from Tehran to Berkeley in the summer of 1969 was like landing in heaven. I started soaking up the information like a sponge and there was so much to learn. Now I realize how lucky I was to have had the company of some of the world’s greatest in dentistry and in orthodontics. Harry Sicher, Milton Engel, Joseph Jaraback, Tom Graber, and Eugene Roberts, to name just a few. They taught me more than their knowledge, they showed me the way.”
